May The 4th Be With You, Happy Star Wars Day!

May 3, 2024 By ausretrogamer

May The 4th Be With You All

There are three certainties in life, Death, Taxes and Star Wars products to buy on Star Wars Day, May the 4th! This year is no exception, with our inbox being bombarded with Star Wars stuff and sales to tempt us.

Out of the three certainties, at least Star Wars products are fun. We still love our Stern Star Wars Comic Art pinball machine, but this year we are keen on some Lego Star Wars gear to celebrate May The 4th, like the new (and quite expensive at $239.99) Lego book, The Force of Creativity. Most of the book includes commentary from LEGO and Lucasfilm employees, providing an opportunity for plenty of fun anecdotes and information about product development and their (Lego and Lucasfilm) collaboration in creating Lego Star Wars sets.

The best bit about this year’s celebration is that the 4th falls on a Saturday, so no need to take a ‘sickie’ to use the Force. If you are that way inclined (being on the Dark Side of the Force), perhaps you can take a ‘sickie’ on Monday (May 6th) to celebrate May The Sith Be With You.

No matter which side you are on, Happy Star Wars Day to you all!

Happy Star Wars Day!

When this of year rolls around, you are bound to be seduced by licensed Star Wars products, like these Star Wars x Fossil watches celebrating the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi.

These watches are limited in number, so for anyone with a Rebel spirit that loves horology, grab one (or two) now!

May the 4th be with you!

Happy Star Wars Day and May The 4th Be With You

May 4, 2021 By Alex Boz

Star Wars

Happy Star Wars Day!

No, I am not your father, but from one Star Wars geek to another, May the 4th be with you!

When it comes to pop culture franchises, none are bigger than Star Wars. As a kid, I was consumed by it – Masters Of the Universe was a close second though 😉

I was lucky enough to be there when the original trilogy was playing in cinemas (late 70s to early 80s) and following on from that, begging my parents for anything Star Wars related, from the Kenner action figures to Return of the Jedi t-shirts to wear to school.

As an adult, the love of Star Wars has not diminished one bit, but my tastes for Star Wars related collectable content has definitely expanded. The pick of my current fave Star Wars related memorabilia is our Stern Star Wars Comic Art Premium pinball machine.

This year’s highlight for me was being honoured on a Walter Day’s Video Game & Pinball Trading Card with our beloved Star Wars pinball machine – check it out below!

If you have any favourite Star Wars items, please share them with us all either via Twitter or Facebook!

May The 4th Be With You – Happy Star Wars Day

May 4, 2020 By ausretrogamer

It’s STAR WARS DAY peeps! May the 4th be with you!

As huge Star Wars fans, we can’t go past celebrating this day. Since Star Wars Day almost coincides with our birthday, it makes it that little bit extra special.

We are celebrating this day with our new cool and very special gift, a Star Wars – Han Solo Limited Edition Invicta watch. We love everything about this awesome watch, from Han encased in carbonite sharing the watch-face with his beloved Millennium Falcon, his heavy blaster on the second hand, to the leather strap depicting his attire, and of course, the Millennium Falcon side plate and the see-through automatic watch movement. Do you have any special Star Wars items celebrating this occasion?

From all of us at ausretrogamer, have yourselves a great Star Wars Day, and May The 4th Be With You!

May The 4th Be With You: A New Stern Star Wars Pinball?

May 3, 2017 By ausretrogamer

With the internet rumour mill running amok regarding Stern’s next pinball machine, we wonder if they will announce a new Star Wars themed pinball machine on ‘May The 4th Be With You‘ Star Wars day? We can only hope!

If you weren’t aware, there have been quite a number of Star Wars themed pinball machines over the years, from Hankin’s wide body The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Sonic’s Star Wars (1987), Data East’s Star Wars (1992) to Sega’s awesome Star Wars Trilogy (1997) and Williams’ Star Wars Episode I (1999) built on the ill-fated Pinball2000 platform.

If Stern does announce a new Star Wars pinball machine, then we cross our fingers that it will be a mix of the Data East and Sega Star Wars machines. Oh yeah, we would love some Dark Side and Light Side LE machines too – hope you are listening Stern!

What are your predictions for Stern’s new pinball machine? Let us know on Twitter or Facebook.

May the force be with you!

A close second, Data East’s Star Wars

You either loved it or hated Williams’ Star Wars Episode I
