Digital Art: Video Games vs Real Life

August 18, 2014 By ausretrogamer

Let’s get this straight, I love video games being mashed into real life locations. I was super impressed with Aled Lewis Studio’s video gaming artwork, and now we have Lee Vidal coming to the party with his artistic effort.

Lee has done a fabulous job at placing iconic video games in very apt real life locations. If you don’t believe us, just take a peek below. If you would like to see more of Lee’s artistic works, head on over to his deviantArt page.

Artwork: Video Games vs Real Life

November 1, 2013 By ausretrogamer

We have seen an increase in video gaming mash’em ups in the recent past (Contra vs Paperboy being one of my favourites) . I am glad to say that this mash-up concept has now converged to the artistic field.

Aled Lewis Studio creates brilliant artworks that you would be proud to hang on your wall. We recently contacted Aled Lewis Studio and requested to show-off some of their impressive artworks from their ‘Video Games vs Real Life’ collection. They were very much obliging.

If you like what you see here (Ed: I am still drooling!), then head over to their store and start browsing for your ultimate video gaming art piece!

It never ceases to amaze me how talented people are. Once such person, Jérémy Huet is no exception. His (retro and modern) video gaming inspired artwork should be shared and enjoyed. With that said, I hope you like it.

Video Game Art Exhibition: Monchhichi72

November 5, 2012 By ausretrogamer

Since discovering social media, I have been privileged in meeting thousands of amazing and talented people. Julia (monchhichi72) is no exception. I recently discovered Julia’s artwork talent. My interest was piqued over a conversation about video game drawings and a cute blue cat called Doraemon (or more affectionately known as, Ding Dong – more on that at a later date).

Showcasing her artistic flair, here are some of Julia’s video games inspired drawings – Enjoy ! [Read more…] about Video Game Art Exhibition: Monchhichi72
