September 25, 2012 By ausretrogamer

Do you remember what games you were fascinated with on the C64, Atari ST or the Amiga back in July 1988 ? What do you mean you don’t !
Well, you are in luck my fellow retro gamers. I have found the top 5 games for the month of July in 1988. Even if you were way too young (or not even born!) to play games in 1988, check out the top 5 chart lists – I guarantee you will recognise some of the titles that were topping the charts in the summer (or winter for our southern hemisphere gamers) of ’88.

  1) Steve Davis Snooker (Blue Ribbon)
2) Ghostbusters (Mastertronic)
3) Target Renegade (Imagine)
4) Soccer Boss (Alternative)
5) Aliens (Mastertronic)

  1) Outrun (U.S. Gold)
2) Captain Blood (Infogrames)
3) Carrier Command (Rainbird)
4) Dungeon Master (Mirrorsoft)
5) Obliterator (Psygnosis)

  1) Barbarian (Palace)
2) Sidewinder (Mastertronic)
3) Obliterator (Psygnosis)
4) Ferrari Formula 1 (E.A.)
5) Fairy Tale (Micro Illusions)
